Jeff Carlisle - Born in the town of Shelby, OH (Birthplace of the seamless tube industry in America), Jeff Carlisle grew up in the bustling metropolis of Columbus, OH. There, he attended public school without being shot or stabbed and continued his education at the prestigious Columbus College of Art and Design, to whom he swears he will pay back his tuition.
A year or so after graduating from Art School, Jeff submitted art to the Star Wars fan site TheForce.Net, which resulted in a dedicated fan art gallery there and enough courage to actually talk to his peers.
After five years of freelance illustration and concept design, he has worked with a number of clients including: Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG), COSI Studios, Decipher, Goodman Games/Sword and Sorcery, Green Ronin Publishing, Lucasfilm Ltd., Paizo Publishing, Poop House Reilly, Presto Studios/Microsoft Game Studios, The Scarefactory, Inc., Topps and Wizards of the Coast.

Jason Cole - Jason attended the Academy of Art from ‘95 to ‘97 before accepting a double scholarship to the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit where he received his BFA in the fall of ‘99.  He felt that art school gave him a good foundation but did not represent his professional goals.  He has held various “day” jobs while rebuilding his portfolio and clientele.  To take him to the next level, he has returned to school.  This time he is pursuing his M.A. at F.I.T. in New York City.

Kirk Hardtle –  Kirk is a native of Perrysburg, OH who escaped the chill of winter to the warmth of New Orleans, LA. With his M.F.A. from the University of Toledo, he landed a job as a painter and, eventually Lead Designer at Kearn Studios producing floats for Mardi Gras. Along the way, he produced images for White Wolf in the early days of The World of Darkness. After surviving Hurricane Katrina, he relocated back to Columbus, Ohio to establish Liquid Lizard Studios.

Andy Hopp – Andy is an award-winning illustrator and writer. His recent works include the popular Wanderers Guild series by Goodman Games and 3am Games and the critically acclaimed Low Life: The Rise of the Lowly by Great White Games. Oh, and you can see more of his artwork at www.andyhopp.com, www.wanderersguild.com, and www.muthaoith.com.

William “Nick” Johns –  To Nick, his art career started the day he got his first assignment from a publisher in 1978. Since then, he has traveled many roads to wind up here. These days, he works with models, actors, musicians and production companies. He has the privilege to be able to pick and choose his assignments. In publishing, he has 120 covers to his credit and countless interior illustrations. These days, he spends most of his time working on prints. He enjoys them more and it gives him the freedom to draw and paint what he wants to do.

Veronica Jones – Veronica is a freelance illustrator working from the Northern Virginia area, just down the road from Washington DC. Confused in her youth, she didn’t pursue “art as a living” until she had already graduated from college and was working in the “real world” as a research assistant.
It wasn’t until she had a chance encounter with a medical illustrator that she decided that art could be a viable career choice. She then went on to dupe people into hiring her into different graphic designer positions, before she decided to get REALLY risky and become a freelance illustrator.
Her work has appeared in collectible card games such as Warlord and Legend of the Five Rings, interior illustrations for Paradigm Concepts and Sword and Sorcery Studios, and covers for the Spycraft and Shadowforce Archer books from Alderac Entertainment Group.

Doug Kovacs - Doug tried to sell his soul to the devil for heightened artistic talent, but was informed his soul wasn’t worth the asking price.  He continued to draw and paint anyway.  He has produced paintings and drawings for, CCG’s, RPG’s, including Dungeons and Dragons, packaging illustration, and concept art on a variety of gaming projects. Among a number of companies Doug has worked for are AEG, Wizards of the Coast, Goodman Games, and Green Ronin Publishing.  Simultaneous to Illustrating, he has continued to produce mythological based art of his own featuring both faeries and the green man.  Doug currently works out of a corner apartment in Chicago trying to plan his next D&D game between projects.

Jeff Menges – Jeff was born 4 decades ago in a small seaside New Jersey town. He was raised there on Thunderbirds, Prince Valiant, and Lego. In 1977, Star Wars had a major impact on his imagination and his life. Later that same summer, Jeff picked up his first Michael Moorcock novel, illustrating it as he read. Heavy Metal magazine was soon to follow, and his fate was sealed there...
Upon entering the industry as a full-time freelancer in late 1993, the card game market created an incredible demand for art. Jeff rode the wave all the way to the beach, creating over 180 card images for over 20 sets or expansions. His illustration continues to grace role-playing products as well, and recent projects include temporary tattoos and coloring books.

Nigel’s family has always had a strong nautical tradition, with many companies named Jolly Roger this and Jolly Roger that (Pirates in his blood).  As a teenager Nigel was a rebellious youth, a Technicolor haired street freak. Alas, this was shattered one peaceful day when a lapse in judgment led to marriage! However, this torment was not without reward; He now has 2 lovely children with which to explore life. Shortly after his divorce Nigel graduated college with a degree in Philosophy. Armed with his freedom, his offspring, and an amazing ability to argue points that even he may not believe, he set out on the high seas of art! His art in form is either Realism or Symbolic Abstracts, and in function it questions basic ideas we hold dear as a people.

With many  projects to her name from penciling and inking comics to building fantastic displays that an elephant could tap-dance on, Kay is what those in the industry call a “one to watch, backs to the wall boys. Don’t look into the trap!”. She enjoys using pencil, ink, paint and the computer to create art. She likes stupid fuzzy animals, chocolate and big hammers. Our hero likes to work in pen, paint, digital and has an equal penchant for creating fantasy, science fiction and horror related subjects. Truly the stuff of legends. Some of his work includes games for Twilight Creations and Playroom Entertainment. Stop by and say “Hi”, he’s a nice guy just ask Andy Hopp. See my, I mean his, great works at www.steele-works.com.
