Here are just some of the CCG events at Origins this year:

Pokemon’s Greatest Events are at Origins!
The 2007-2008 Pokemon TCG US National Championships is the penultimate event for the 2007-2008 season!  This event is the last on the road to the Pokemon TCG World Championships and is part of a title event series in which players in each of the three divisions (Junior, Senior, and Masters) compete for a spot in the National Championships finals on Sunday! Results of the National Championships can give a serious boost to a player’s Premier Ratings and that player’s chances of getting into the 2008 World Championships in Orlando, Florida. This event uses the Modified (HP-On) format, restricting which cards can be played. Please see www.go-pokemon.com/op for additional information on this restriction.

In addition, we’ll have Pokemon League Play, Modified Constructed tournaments, Sealed Deck, and the North American Professor’s Cup!

Upper Deck Brings its Best Back to Origins!
Vs. System – Origins is proud to be the hosts of the Vs. System World Championships! We’ll also have Marvel Universe Draft and Sealed events, Silver and Golden Age Constructed, and a crazy Super Crossover Sealed!

For the WoW TCG, we’ll have two Gadgetzan Challenges, where the winner gets their choice of the following: Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, $300 Best Buy gift card, 16GB iPod Touch, 160GB iPod Classic. Still haven’t gotten your qualification to 2008 Nationals? We’ll have two Regional Qualfiers!

Looking to qualify early for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG 2009 Worlds? We’ll have Regional Qualfiers at Origins! Or bring a friend, and join one of the Team Dueling tournaments. The winning team will receive a free entry into a team dueling championship tournament to be held at Nationals and each member of the winning team will each receive a Team Dueling Deck Box!

Magic: The Gathering
Our friends at Wizards of the Coast have put together a great slate of M:tG events for us this year, including their Origins Championship! We’ll have League play, Vintage, Legacy, Odyssey Block Sealed, Two-Headed Giant Sealed, Standard, Extended and Sealed Tournaments, all with great prizes!

Fantasy Flight CCG/TCGs are Exploding at Origins!
The Universal Fighting System U.S. Nationals Held at Origins!
The finest Singles and Team players of this anime combat game will meet at Origins to determine which players reign supreme in the nation.

In addition there will be tournaments for A Game of Thrones CCG, Call of Cthulhu CCG, and Kingdom Hearts TCG.

Shadowfist National Championship
Shadowfist is the mile-a-minute, sword-clashing, butt-kicking, Uzi-spraying, boat-exploding, car-chasing, monster-crunching, Hong Kong cinematic action card game that is so epic it would take fourteen John Woos to film and a cast the likes of Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh. And that’s just in the first five minutes! Come stake your claim in the US Championship as the big man (or butt-kicking woman!) of the country! Final Brawl, constructed deck format.

Star Wars CCG Origins Open Championship
Star Wars CCG tournament. The game produced by Decipher and now run by the SWCCG Player’s Committee is holding an open format (all cards and virtual cards are legal) tournament. 8 games, 4 light 4 dark. You need both a light and dark deck to compete. Decklists required, clear sleeves banned. the top 4 players after the swiss rounds will compete in a bracket-playoff to determine the winner! 1v4 2v3, with winners playing in the finals. May the force be with you!

Bleach Squad 7 Captain Regional
Bleach fans, you won’t want to miss this! Middle Earth MECCG Sealed Deck Tournament
Come join us as you battle for the future of Middle Earth! This is hero sealed deck tournament. You will be provided an unlimited starter deck, 3 unlimited booster packs and 3 Dragons packs. Bring maps and dice, if you have them. There will be prizes!

Buffy CCG Sealed Deck Tournament
Do you aspire to be Protector of Sunnydale or are your sights set on being the next Big Bad? Give it your best shot at the Buffy CCG sealed deck tournament. You will be provided with a Class of 99 starter deck, a Wish Theme deck and 2 boosters from each of the expansions (Pergamum Prophecy, Angel’s Curse, Class of 99). There will be prizes!

World Conquerors Tournament
World Conquerors is a classic style “conquer the world” game.  The unique feature is a deck of world leader cards drawing from historical figures and translating their actual history into game terms for use in the game.  Alexander’s tactical brilliance means you count “ones” in his dice as “sixes”.  Washington can ignore some supply costs.  Cleopatra can get generals to fight battles for her.  Players try to conquer as much of the world as they can over three eras.  The player who covers the most territory at their empire’s high water mark wins.

Mythos - Rules Taught
Come give your Uncle Cthulhu a big hug.  It should only cost you your sanity, a small price indeed.  Please join us in this late night offering to the great old one.  This event is intended for fun and not a cutthroat type tournament event.  If you have a deck, please bring it or borrow one of ours if needed.  Note: Event will be at Rogue Judges HQ in the Board Game area.  More at www.RogueJudges.org  Generics Welcome

Midnight Magic Madness!
After all the smoke clears from all the other tournaments, prizes, games, and the evening begins to wind down… It doesn’t have to end! Come one, Come all to the Midnight Magic:The Gathering Madness. Transformers CCG Hunt for the Allspark
Play the Transformers CCG like you never have before. Using a custom rules system based on Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers the CCG is taken to new levels of play. Battle in and around terrain, gain special abilities based on the transformer, enjoy enhanced tactics, and create new strategies to bring victory in this skirmish and hunt for the Allspark.

BattleChrome: Prepare For a Mecha Showdown
Pick your frame, armor it up, weapon it up, then get out there and pulp your opponent. BattleChrome is a fast play, mecha combat game which lets you customize your machine and hope your skill and mecha prove the better of your opposition.

SimCity Big City Build
Starting at Level 2, work with other players to build the city even bigger, while personally profiting as much as possible. Participate in politics to get your way on zoning votes, and use those elusive ultrarare long cards to upgrade to some truly spectacular buildings and monuments!

Join White Wolf in the CCG Hall for another year of great Vampire:The Eternal Struggle events!  No matter what your skill level -- as a Veteran Methuselah or a New Bloodsucker -- you will find several V:TES events each day to keep your blood pumping!  We will have pick-up games between events to fine-tune your deck, and there will be lots of friendly trading going on.  (Ask the ancient Methuselahs for those cards you don’t have -- but it may cost you a pint!)  And don’t forget about the _FREE_ V:TES demos at the White Wolf booth in the Exhibit Hall!  Ask for Oscar and get a V:EKN Membership Card, some blood counters, and a free deck of cards!
